Sales Policy

Simply Loved Bunnies Sales Policy

*We reserve the right to refuse the sale of any animal, at any time, for any reason*

HOLD POLICY:  Rabbit sales are on a first come, first serve basis.  We will not hold any sale rabbit without payment.  Once full payment has been received for the rabbit, we will hold them for one week, unless pick up is arranged and agreed on for a later date.

TRANSPORT:  Rabbits can be transported many ways, and we will assist when able.  However, if your rabbit needs to be transported, you are ultimately responsible to secure transport and pay any additional costs for that transport.  Due to space, care, and feeding requirements, we are unable to hold a rabbit for more than one week.  We will gladly transport to any rabbit show we plan to attend for free.  If we transport to a show and you are unable to meet us, your deposit will not be refunded, and the rabbit will be relisted.  We will happily meet any transporter within 30 minutes of our rabbitry.  For further distances, we will provide a per mile cost based on current gas prices.  We are not responsible for what may happen once a rabbit leaves our care.  We are unable to give refunds for rabbits injured, deceased, or failed to be delivered by a transporter.

PRICES AND PAYMENT:  Each animal is priced individually and based upon our appraisal of its quality.  This price can change, as the animal develops.  Full payment is required before any rabbit is considered sold.  We take PayPal, Venmo, check, or cash.

PEDIGREES:  All show and brood rabbits come with pedigrees, which you will receive by mail, email, or at delivery once payment has been received.  Pedigrees are not given with pet rabbits.

YOUNG RABBITS:  We will rarely sell a rabbit younger than 12 weeks old.  Rabbit lines develop at varying speeds, and there is no guarantee as to how one will develop.  We will keep a rabbit until we determine its place in our program.  We want them properly weaned and healthy when they depart our rabbitry.

HOUSE INDOORS:  When you purchase one of our rabbits, especially if you reside in Texas or the south, you agree to keep that rabbit indoors with air conditioning and heating.  Our rabbits are born and raised indoors with a controlled climate and are not conditioned to live outdoors.  Due to their small size, they are extremely sensitive to overheating in hot climates and freezing in cold weather.

RHDV2:   Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV) is a highly contagious disease caused by a calicivirus that affects rabbits, domestic and wild.  As of 2020, rabbits in various areas of the US have been affected by RHDV2.  Our rabbits come with a vaccination to RHDV2, either Filavac or Eravac (European vaccines).  They are vaccinated within a few months of birth or purchase, and vaccination dates will vary.  Vaccinations last approximately one year from the date they were administered.  An American company called Medgene has created a new vaccine, and we encourage all purchasers to vaccinate their rabbit when the current vaccination expires.  Paperwork will be provided to give to your veterinarian to allow you to vaccinate your rabbit in the future.

BREEDING:  We will not stud out our bucks. We will very rarely offer the opportunity to buy a doe bred to the buck of our choice to the right person. If a doe is sold bred there are NO guarantees that the doe will have kits or raise kits.

OUR PROMISE/RABBIT WELLNESS:  We promise to make sure your rabbit is healthy when it leaves our care.  We do not issue monetary refunds.  If the rabbit gets injured, sick, or dies under your care or the care of a transporter, there will be no refund.  Please keep in mind, rabbits are prey animals, and there is always a chance that they will not adjust well, but this is not the fault of the seller.  However, if there is an issue, we would like to know, and each case will be handled on an individual basis.

RETURN OF RABBITS:  If for any reason you can no longer keep the rabbit or care for it, we will take it back.  Before attempting to sell or give away the rabbit, please contact us.  No refund will be issued, but for our love of the rabbit, we will either keep it or find it a suitable home.  If the rabbit was sold as show or brood quality, all paperwork must be returned with the rabbit, including the pedigree and any winnings that rabbit has received while in your care.
